Our Trustees

The Walsall FC Community Programme Board of Trustees is an appointed group of individuals that have overall responsibility for the management of WFCCP. The Board of Trustees acts as the scheme’s governing body, and seeks to ensure decisions are made in the best interest of stakeholders, in all types of management decisions.

Dan is a key link between the Club and Community Department and is a huge advocate for our programmes. His background is in Media and his skills and knowledge help us to best promote the work we do.

Stefan Gamble – Finance

Stefan is a Trustee for the Community Department and also the CEO of Walsall FC. Essentially, Stefan is in charge of the day-to-day operation of Walsall FC. He is a trained accountant and plays an important role for the scheme when overseeing all finances connected to the charity.

He is also an ex-player for Walsall and the Republic of Ireland. His experience of running the scheme for quarter of a decade, plus his role as a Magistrate and Justice of the Peace, are key skills when guiding us on equality and engagement issues.

Sue Lane – Safeguarding

Sue Lane operates as the Walsall FC Education Officer for the club’s Academy and Youth Team. Her role at the club means that she works in tandem with the Walsall FC Safeguarding Officer due to her work with almost 250 players under the age of 18. She has the background of a full career in teaching is a valuable member of the Trustees.

Richard Tisdale – Business Operation

Richard is a Director of Walsall FC and also has his own, very successful, signage company. Now at retirement age, Richard has a wealth of knowledge in the business sector and he is a big supporter of the programme as well as a guide for business related matters.

Brian Adshead – Governance

James Chambers – Sport

James is an ex-professional footballer, from the West Midlands, who finished his career at Walsall FC. He has now set up his own successful business venture, unrelated to football, and is beginning his career after football. Having spent 20 years as a professional player, and remaining an active person away from the game, James is well placed and keen to oversee our Sport delivery programmes and the additional health, education and engagement possibilities that they offer.

Amy Bills – Education

Amy is one of our newest Trustees. She joins the scheme having been a participant on Community Programme activities in her school days. She is local to Walsall and remains a resident of the Borough. She qualified as a Teacher and is now an Executive Head Teacher, overseeing 6 schools in the area. In a short career, so far, Amy has fast tracked to a position of high responsibility and is well placed to advise on all things education related.

Tony Millard – Business Operation

Tony is one of our newest Trustees. Having had a career in football cut short by injury, Tony now works successfully in the world of Property. Tony spent time as a player at Walsall FC and he now feels that he is in a position to “give back” to the sport and is excited by the opportunity to join as a Trustee to share his skills and experience of sport and the business world.

Adam Chambers – Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Sport

Adam is one of our newest Trustees and joins his twin brother, James, on the Board. As his 25 year career as a professional footballer is coming to a close, Adam wishes to remain local and active at Walsall FC. He sees the role of a trustee an ideal opportunity to give back to his local club and is keen to support our work around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Sport.
